Biography of Dr. Robin B. Hollis:

Dr. Hollis is a successful global learning and talent management executive and thought leader. She has expertise in organizational development, executive and leadership development and learning, operations and strategy, systems and project management. Her current research focuses on values, mentoring, organizational intelligence and economic workforce development. She holds certifications as a Technology of Participation (ToPs) Certified Facilitator for consensus building and strategic planning and as a Certified Kolbe™ Consultant.

Her experience spans regional and global industries of healthcare, banking, information technology and high tech distribution. As a change agent and an executive with Fortune 200 companies for over 25 years, Dr. Hollis has successfully developed organization’s core values, transformed career development opportunities, facilitated key strategic initiatives and implemented various people and learning systems. She is a published author including research articles on collaboration, Organization IQ and Leaders-as-teachers. Dr. Hollis holds a doctorate in Work-based Learning Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania, (PennCLO Program). As a George F. Baker Trust Scholar, she earned her MBA from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College.

Community Service
She actively contributes within her community and profession through integrating her role as a Deacon in the Arizona Episcopal Diocese with her secular background, work experience, and education. Involved in her community, Rev. Dr. Hollis is a leader with the Valley Interfaith Project in Phoenix and she is energized and passionate about making a difference, especially in the lives of young people. As a result she serves on local non-profit boards focused on families, education, and youth.

Board Memberships/Steering Committees:
  • Ahwatukee-Foothills YMCA – Chair of the Youth Development Committee
  • Arizona Career Pathways – a labor market intermediary focused on long-term economic workforce development.
  • National Tri-Caucus School Board Association (Tri-Caucus) Arizona Affiliate, Steering Committee Member and serves as their Strategic Planning Facilitator. This organization is currently focusing efforts on the disconnected African-American, Hispanic, and Native American youth (ages 16-24) in Maricopa County.
  • Opportunity Now – Opportunity for Youth Backbone
  • UPI Education (Unified Progress International)- AZ Executive Advisory Board Member. The Hollis Collaborative is a U-Team Partner and Member.
  • Additionally, she is an active supporter of both the Girl and Boy Scouts, local youth organizations, and has volunteered with the Fiesta Bowl.

As an ordained Deacon in the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona she currently serves at St. James Episcopal Church in Tempe, AZ. Through serving in liturgical roles she focuses her ministries on youth & music, mentoring, and outreach. The Rev. Dr. Hollis was recently appointed as the Diocesan Director of Deacon Formation and also serves on the Diocesan Deacons’ Council and the Diocesan Anti-Racism Committee. Her focus has been on advocating for those who are underserved and underutilized.

Biography of Mr. Roy S. Hollis

Mr. Hollis has an extensive and varied career with more than 20 years’ experience as a Financial Analyst and Financial Consultant, 5 years as a high school and middle school math and science teacher, and most recently more than 15 years as a Computer Programmer/Analyst. His areas of expertise include: financial systems, banking, information technology, and public school education. He is active in the Grand Canyon Council of BSA holding positions as Scout Master, Cub Master and Council Trainer. His MBA is from University of Southern California, Los Angeles and his undergraduate major was in both math and physics at Occidental College, Los Angeles.
